Pacific 231 is a project by Pierre Jolivet, originally from Paris and currently based in Dublin, Ireland.
Pacific 231 began with the first wave of post-industrial music and power electronics.
Today, his more minimalist experimental work explores the limits of sound and space.
Over the years, Pacific 231 has released several albums, including “Unusual Perversions” (1984), “Power Assume” (1986), “Ethnicities” (2006) and “Micromega” (2013), as well as collaborations with other experimental music artists such as Instinct Primal, Lt. Caramel, Rapoon, and notably “Aramesh” alongside Vox Populi!
Pacific 231’s work has had a significant influence on the development of industrial and experimental music in France and around the world.
